The 2026 grant application will open October 1, 2025 and close on December 1, 2025. No applications will be accepted after the deadline.
All applicants will receive an e-mail confirming that we have received their application within one week of receipt. If you have not received a confirmation e-mail by December 15th, please reach out with an e-mail to info@surfgimpfoundation.org to confirm your application has been received.
The grant committee will notify all applicants of their status via email the first week of January. Pending receipt of completed acceptance paperwork, funds will be distributed by February 15th to grant recipients.
Surfgimp Foundation assists individuals with disabilities to pursue an active lifestyle by awarding grant funding to help cover the cost of equipment, travel, lessons, support personnel, entry fees etc. so they can participate in physical activities of their choosing.
Typical grant awards range between $1000 - $2500.
No! Although inspired by an adaptive surfer, the Foundation will consider applications for many types of adaptive sports, and other physical activities, including funding or partially funding the purchase of adaptive equipment or prosthetics.
Grant applications that are not complete, lack detail or do not convey a clear need may not be considered for approval. In addition, priority will be given to first time applicants and all awards will be based on funds available.
