2021 grants will fund a variety of adventures including:
- competition in a variety of sports
- equine therapy and hippotherapy
- equipment for a sensory room
- lessons to improve skills
- equipment
The grants funded this year served to reduced financial obstacles for children, teens, and adults with disabilities in our local community as well as nationally and internationally. Although disabilities impact their lives in a variety of ways, what all grant recipients had in common was their desire to break down barriers and expand their ability to participate in physical activities. Stay tuned for updates on their adventures...
Lucas was the recipient of a grant to purchase a jogging stroller and bike trailer so he can participate in outdoor adventures with family. As described by his mother, “Lucas’ eyes shine brightly and, as we zoom down bike paths, his laughter echoes throughout the woods. The grin never leaves Lucas’ face as he races his brother down the path.” Since the stroller is easy to transport in the family vehicle, Lucas also has plans for biking on his family vacations for years to come!
